Throughout the years, the Nutrition Program of the Bacolod City Health Department has been intensified, and concerted efforts were directed towards the reduction of morbidity and mortality due to malnutrition, Nutrition program is the support program for mother and child health care.

The Department of Education, Culture and Sports Division of Bacolod City, administers and supervises the seven (7) school districts in the city comprising of 61 public schools broken down as follows: 45 are elementary and 20 are secondary. There are 71 privately owned schools in the city, of which, 43 are elementary and 28 are secondary while eleven (11) are colleges and universities.
